6 DOWN, 1 TO GO!!!

We are ecstatic that Bryan has only ONE CHEMO TREATMENT LEFT!!!!

The report for this round of chemo is fatigue, nausea, lack of appetite and general misery; but Bryan feels slightly better than the last time he received this treatment.

By the way, Bryan is now home and I am feeling 100% better. Bryan's mom was a great nurse--we are both grateful for her care!

What happened to the rest of the blog? There are several posts that have disappeared.

The simple answer is internet safety; I remembered I was blogging on the WORLD WIDE WEB. I sometimes think I'm writing to a good friend (which so many of you are), but I had truly given too many details about my kids online.

I considered placing a login on the account (which many of you e-mailed about because I had the security higher over the weekend while I was removing posts), but that would mean everyone who reads this would need a gmail account. That seemed too difficult so I just cleaned up the blog, taking off any posts which contained pictures of or details about my kids. (I also removed anything that disclosed our location, even our state. For example, the obituary I posted last week had the address to the church and I blogged about where my house was in relation to the church. Bad idea!)

I'm still thinking about the best way to continue the blog. I want to share the personal parts of this experience and give details about our family, I just don't know the safest way to do that. I know some other blogging sites offer password protection and don't require accounts--I might try that. For now, I'll refrain from posting about my kids and other info that might expose our family to an unsafe situation.

If any of you have suggestions, I'm happy to hear them!

I think that it totally stinks that you have to worry about that kind of stuff - we loved reading about the kids and your life outside of cancer - but I guess that it makes sense.

Haven't posted a message for a while, but that doesn't mean that we have stopped thinking about you and reading anxiously about the progress. I am SO glad that the chemo is coming to an end... Philip and I continue to send you as much good karma, etc. as we can muster.

And you are NOT off of the hook for the Christmas party!
